Well over a hundred venues will open their doors from September 9 to 17 to show the wonderful lives these fantastic racehorses lead.
Visitors to the stables will be able to see the love, care and attention that goes into looking after racehorses from birth right through to their retirement years with dozens a fascinating demonstrations.
More details of the annual celebration of racehorses can be found at the dedicated website where visits to the stables can be booked, but hurry, slots are filling up fast.
1. Jedd O'Keeffe
The Grade One-winning trainer will welcome guests to his base at Brecongill Stables in the Yorkshire Dales town of Middleham, an area steeped in racing history.
Visitors are guaranteed a warm welcome and they will get the chance to quiz Jedd in a question and answer session.
The yard will open Thursday 14th September
2. Warren Greatrex
Visitors to Warren’s historic Rhonehurst yard, in the heart of Upper Lambourn, will be treated to several fascinating demonstrations at the state-of-the-art training centre.
The equine swimming pool will in action at the open morning on Thursday 14 September and there will be a display to show how the saltwater treadmill helps keep the horses in tip-top shape.
3. Jane Williams
Jane specialises in buying yearlings and moulding them into jumps stars at her in George Nympton, Devon.
Visitors will learn how the team at Culverhill Farm develop the young horses’ careers, with the opportunity to meet the current crop in their stables and then watch them work on the gallops.
Jane, will welcome visitors to the yard on Tuesday 12 September.
4. Jeremy Scott
There will be a lot for visitors to see when Jeremy hosts his National Racehorse Week open afternoon at his base high up on Exmoor National Park.
Among the attractions will be demonstrations by the equine chiropractor and the dentist, as well a trip to the gallops to watch the horses work. There will be an opportunity to meet some of the stars of the future and the past, with the yard’s foals and retired racehorses on hand to help welcome guests to Higher Holworthy Farm on Friday 15 September.
5. Oliver Signy
Former eventer Oliver will open up his racing stables as part of National Horserace Week on Wednesday 13 September.
He represented Great Britain at a junior level and ran a successful eventing yard before switching his focus to racing.
Visitors to his yard will learn all about his journey, meet his team of horses and enjoy a shoeing display from the farrier.
6. Tom Dascombe
Tom has had a colourful career in racing and has now firmly established with a largely Flat-based team at Frenchmans Lodge in Upper Lambourn.
After spells working for Ralph Beckett and Mike de Kock, he set up on his own in 2005 and quickly built a reputation as an exceptional trainer of two-year-olds.
Visitors to his current yard on Thursday 14 September will be able to see what goes on in a racing yard and chat to staff as they go about their usual yard duties.
Combine a Morning at a Yard with a Trip to York Races

Charity Racing Welfare have formed an exciting partnership with with York Racecourse to deliver a new fan experience at ARC Malton Open Day.
Fans can experience a morning at a racing yard and then head to York Racecourse to enjoy an afternoon of racing. Giving you the chance to cheer on some of the horses you met earlier in the day.
